EQUIPMENT

Kirkwood Ground Care Ltd is not liable for any death, damage, injury or loss to any person or animal while using the facility or the equipment within it, or to any third party as a result of any person or dog.

Dogs under 18 months old are restricted from using the height equipment due to their developing growth plates.

Before using the facility or the equipment within it, visit the vet to ensure that dogs are physically fit and strong enough to perform activities.

Do not use equipment in wet or icy conditions as surfaces become slippery.

Dogs must never be picked up and placed on obstacles. When using equipment above ground level dogs must wear a harness so that they can be supported during the exercise.

Never push dogs to do anything that they are not physically or mentally capable of. Allow dogs to go at their own pace and always let them choose whether they want to do it or not. Ensure dogs warm up properly first.

The equipment is for canine use only, not for human adults or children to climb on.

 FIELD FENCING

No climbing on the fence whatsoever, even if a toy or ball is stuck, please inform us and we will remove it safely.

Although we have made every effort to secure the field and we will be inspecting and maintaining the fence regularly, holes or other damage to the fence may occur from time to time due to several reasons including digging by dogs or other animals, falling trees or branches, and general wear and tear. If you become aware of any issue with the state of the fence, please let us know immediately so that we can make other users aware and so that we can fix it as soon as possible. We cannot, however, take any responsibility for any dog escaping the field whether this is through a defect in the fence, and regardless of whether we have notified you in advance or not. You must keep an eye on your dog at all times-they are your responsibility.

HEALTH & WELFARE

Do not bring your dog to the field if they are or have been unwell in the last 48 hours. Doing so could be harmful to other dogs.

Never leave dogs unattended in the field.

Please monitor the weather forecast and assess whether you and your dog will be comfortable in the weather that is forecast for your session. We are an outdoor facility exposed to the elements; in winter the ground will be muddy and slippery, if it’s sunny it will be hot. We strongly advise you to cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance if the weather is not suitable for you.

When booking autumn and winter appointments search ‘sunset time + date’ online to check daylight hours. You may need to bring a torch.
